Beijing Watches
Beijing Watch Factory was born in 1958 in the nation’s capital, growing from a small state-run workshop into one of China’s most technically ambitious watchmakers and a champion of high complications. Its story unfolded within a broader Beijing horological landscape that also included brands such as Shuangling and Beihai, as well as numerous component factories, instrument makers, and research institutes that collectively established the city as one of China’s important centers of watch production and innovation. Together, these enterprises transformed Beijing from an administrative and cultural capital into a place where watchmaking became a vehicle for mechanical experimentation and industrial development. Among them, Beijing Watch Factory emerged as the city’s foremost standard-bearer of haute horlogerie, blending traditional Chinese artistic motifs with tourbillons, enamel work, and a distinctly modern vision of luxury.
