• Story and significance: the Beijing BS-2 is one of the earliest and most historically important watches produced by Beijing Watch Factory during the formative years of China’s domestic watch industry. Among its many dial variants, the “Wei Renmin Fuwu” (为人民服务, “Serve the People”) edition is especially significant, featuring one of the defining slogans of the Mao era. Combining early Chinese watchmaking with an iconic political inscription, this scarce and highly collectible variant is valued as both a horological milestone and a tangible artifact of mid-century Chinese history
