  • Story and significance: developed in response to a 1967 request from the Central Military Commission, the Shanghai Watch 114 was produced in military specifications and fitted with either the 29-jewel SS2 or 24-jewel SS4 automatic movement. Total production of the SS2 and SS4 variants is estimated at only around 30,000 pieces, making it one of the lowest-production vintage military watches from China. The model is also regarded as one of the only genuine vintage Chinese diver-style watches ever produced. Surviving original examples in good, unmodified condition are exceptionally difficult to find today, placing the Shanghai 114 among the most collectible and historically significant vintage Chinese timepieces.
